Birthday Celebrations
Dear Parents,
We enjoy celebrating birthdays in our class! Here is how we celebrate in second grade.
“All About Me” Poster
This year your child will be bringing home an “All About Me Tee” poster a few days before his/her birthday. We ask that all of the children complete and decorate the poster with his or her interests as indicated on the poster. On the day of your child’s birthday, he/she will have an opportunity to share the poster with the class. The “All About Me Tee” will be shared during our snack time.
Other Options (not required)
· Your child may elect to bring in food as part of his/her celebration. Food items can only include fruits or vegetables. Please note that all fruits and vegetables must be purchased from a commercial kitchen. Food items must be dropped off in the office in the morning. If you are bringing food, please be sure to include plates, utensils and napkins.
· Your child may also bring in a favorite picture book that can be read to the class on his or her special day.
We will celebrate all summer birthdays during the month of June before the end of the school year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you,
The Second Grade Team
